Clayton Mieszala is an attorney with Gardiner Koch Weisberg & Wrona and is located in the Lake Geneva office. Clayton primarily handles litigation matters ranging from personal injury and civil rights to corporate litigation and criminal defense. Clayton has represented severely injured persons in Illinois, Wisconsin, and even Washington D.C. Since joining the firm in 2023, in one civil rights case alone, Clayton been involved in over thirty depositions and drafted numerous complex filings. Clayton also represents GKWW’s corporate and municipal clients in wide-ranging matters such as contract disputes, unemployment claims, and complex subdivision development battles.
Prior to obtaining his law license, Clayton worked at GKWW as a law clerk, where he researched and responded to critical motions in both federal and Illinois state courts. Prior to joining GKWW, Clayton worked as a paralegal at a well-regarded, boutique Lake County-based personal injury law firm where he gained in-depth experience in personal injury matters ranging from auto accidents to nursing home litigation.
Clayton graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law (formerly John Marshall). During law school he volunteered with the UIC Pro Bono Litigation Clinic where he provided pro bono services to indigent people in the Chicago area. Clayton received his Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Paralegal Studies.
Clayton is actively involved with the Walworth County Bar Association and enjoys spending time with his fellow bar members at formal and social events.
