Contract Disputes

Certain municipal employees may have contracts that provide them protection from termination. In our experience, some municipalities take action involving such employees based upon a layperson’s interpretation of the contractual provisions. Such actions can prove to be expensive for the municipality and politically embarrassing for those who make such decisions. Our firm has advised both municipalities and such executive employees regarding such contracts.
